An Outfit Idea for Eid
We are in the last few days of Ramadan and Eid is just around the corner. Everyone looks forward to this time of the year as we get to meet our extended family and friends, share moments of joy and also get to wear some nice clothes (One of the Sunnahs of Eid is to adorn yourself and to wear your best clothes). I pretty much know what I will be wearing for Eid but if you are having trouble finding an outfit to wear, then look no further. Here’s an outfit I think you should check out for Eid.
A classic and undoubtedly a staple. There are many different styles to choose from but I would recommend to stay away from the weird patterned ones with zippers and odd placed pockets. Just play it safe and go for something simple. Colour wise it doesn’t have to be necessarily white but you can never go wrong with a neutral colour. However, if you can rock something more vibrant then that’s your call! Remember, A freshly ironed thobe is impeccable!
Muslims were wearing cropped trousers before it was cool. We be rocking Sunnah style before it was on style. #Trendsetters. Pick something that’ll go with your outfit, colours that are trending right now are navy, stone and black. Here are a few from ASOS to choose from.
A summer blazer will add class to your Eid outfit. You never know what this British weather has in store, during these odd summer days (you know just in case it starts to rain or that chilly summer breeze). Keep it slim but not skinny and wear something that fits! There’s nothing worse that an odd fitting blazer!
Boat shoes or loafers are great for summer, they keep your feet cool and they look great too! Navy or brown you can’t go wrong with these.
A watch tells more than just the time, try to keep it minimalist. Something like a Daniel Wellington or even a Timex Weekender and if you don’t wear watches then you could wear something like a Keffiyah (I know it doesn’t sit on you wrist but it’s still an accessory), it’ll add to the look!
I hope you have a great time this Eid. The day of Eid is a day of celebration for all Muslims around the world. Truly a day of happiness and enjoyment. So be happy, feel good and most important of all, keep it Halal. MG wishes you the best and an early Eid Mubarak!
